To thoroughly implement the Party's policy of exercising strict self-governance in all respects, enhance Party members' and officials' discipline awareness, and promote the effective implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulations, the college, in collaboration with the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office, held a joint study session themed Learning Regulations, Strengthening Conduct, and Promoting Development from April 22 to 23. The event adopted a multi-dimensional format combining video lectures + thematic Party lessons + exchange discussions to guide Party members and officials in building a strong ideological defense line for integrity and self-discipline.
The study session organized screenings of the documentaries Anti-Corruption for the People and Persistent Efforts for Deeper Advancement. Through analyzing typical cases of misconduct in recent years—such as extravagant dining, accepting gifts and money, and formalism—the films visually demonstrated the harm of violations, warning Party members and officials to strictly adhere to disciplinary red lines and consciously resist unhealthy practices.
Liu Zhengyi, Party branch secretary of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, led a study session on Typical Cases of Violations of the Central Eight-Point Regulations and Their Implementation Rules, systematically categorizing eleven types of misconduct, including inaction, indiscriminate policy implementation, and improper meeting and writing styles. By combining case studies, regulations, and interpretations—particularly in contexts like university administrative receptions, overseas research trips, and public facility usage—the session deepened participants' understanding of the Central Eight-Point Regulations.
Wang Qingwen, Party secretary of the college, led a study of Excerpts from General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Discourses on Strengthening Party Conduct, addressing the necessity of conduct improvement, the essence of the Central Eight-Point Regulations, and implementation pathways. He emphasized that the Party's conduct determines the success or failure of its endeavors, requiring persistent efforts to implement the Central Eight-Point Regulations and guide social and public conduct with exemplary Party conduct.
During the discussion, participants shared insights based on their work and life experiences. One official recounted their father's heroic actions during typhoon relief efforts, expressing reverence for the Party's fine traditions. Another shared reflections from a study trip to the Red Flag Canal, marveling at the artificial sky river and the dedication of Party members who refused to accept fate or admit defeat, as well as the profound bond between the Party and the people. Others cited Zhejiang Propaganda as an example, advocating for writing and meeting styles that resonate with the times and address public concerns, stressing that Party-affiliated media professionals must uphold Party principles and foster consensus through warm and profound communication.
This joint study session provided a platform for mutual learning and injected new momentum into implementing the Central Eight-Point Regulations. Moving forward, the college will continue innovating learning formats, advancing strict Party self-governance with pragmatic conduct and concrete measures, and ensuring a clean and upright political environment.
