Recently, the Faculty Party Branch of the International Culture Department, the Graduate Student Party Branch of the Aesthetics Institute, and the Graduate Student Party Branch of International Chinese Language Education at the College of Media and International Culture embarked on a Party-building study tour in Nanxun, Huzhou, under the theme Tracing the Red Gene, Decoding the Path to Common Prosperity, and Embracing the Cultural Mission. The activity aimed to explore the core strategies of rural revitalization, intangible cultural heritage (ICH) preservation, and industrial development under Party leadership.

Ganglang Ancient Village: Touching the Warmth of Faith in the Texture of Time

Comprising Xingxinggang Village and Ganghu Village, Ganglang Ancient Village boasts over a kilometer of historic riverside architecture, with three ancient bridgesYuxiu, Qingan, and Xiajialinking clusters of Ming and Qing-era buildings. The village is also home to ICH cultural centers showcasing wheat-straw art and root carving. The delegation visited the Wall of Great Figures, built in 1967, immersing themselves in the stories of educated youth who once shaped their ideals with unwavering faith.

Today, Ganghu Village has integrated the Wall of Great Figures with rural tourism, creating a distinctive route combining red education and eco-sightseeing. Strolling through the village, participants witnessed the vibrant outcomes of rural revitalization, where youth entrepreneurship projects have sprung up like bamboo shoots after rain, infusing the ancient settlement with youthful energy.

ICH Experience: Passing on the Red Legacy Through Fingertip Craftsmanship

At a hands-on woodblock carving and printing workshop, tradition and revolutionary spirit converged. With focused precision, participants engraved the phrase Loyal Hearts to the Party onto seals before carefully printing the designs. This activity exemplified innovative practices merging Party-building with ICH preservation, revitalizing traditional crafts as vehicles for promoting integrity and red culture.

Common Prosperity Workshop: Witnessing the Power of Party-Building in Industry

At the Dinán Silk Rhyme Common Prosperity Workshop, the front-shop, back-factory operational model impressed visitors. Inside the silk processing workshop, the rhythmic clatter of looms filled the air. Through a collaborative framework of village Party organizations + third-party property management + merchants, the workshop has united dozens of businesses, spurring the growth of household micro-workshops and providing employment for hundreds of local farmers. Walking through the facility, the delegation felt the transformative momentum unleashed by integrating Party-building with industrial development.

Additionally, the newly built Silk Culture Museum within the industrial park merges silk heritage with modern production, further bridging industrial tourism and ICH preservation. By establishing a digital innovation platform under the Silk+ initiative, the project aims to set a benchmark for revitalizing traditional silk industries with new quality productivity. A vision of thriving industry, beautiful countryside, and prosperous farmers is steadily unfolding in Nanxun.

This study tour was both a reawakening of original aspirations and a spiritual baptism. From the red legacy of ancient villages to the cultural continuity of ICH, and the industrial vitality of common prosperity workshops, participants gained a profound appreciation for the far-reaching impact of Party leadership. Moving forward, they pledged to translate Nanxun's invaluable experiences into motivation for action, safeguarding red heritage with professional expertise and upholding mission-driven integrity to write an even more remarkable chapter on the journey of the new era.
